September 23, 2015 A new website will give female entrepreneurs throughout the Asia Pacific region ready access to information, networks, and potential markets. Kiribati Completes Sale of Telecom Services Kiribati Ltd

June 1, 2015 The Kiribati government has sold Telecom Services Kiribati Ltd. (TSKL), the state-owned telecommunications monopoly, in a privatization move for which Nathan Associates Inc. advised the island nation. The government of the Republic of Kiribati completed the sale of TSKL to the Fijian company Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Ltd., owner of Vodafone Fiji, on May 26. Amalgamated had made the winning bid of AUD$7.5 million (US$5.7 million) in cash and assumption of TSKL’s debt of AUD$670,000 in an open and transparent process. Nathan Increases Myanmar Presence with Private Sector Development Work

Nathan Associates will implement a five-year program to increase broad-based economic opportunities in Burma (Myanmar) through more inclusive economic governance rules and processes and by increasing access to finance for businesses, individuals, and other emerging economic actors. The $23.3 million project, the U.S. Agency for International Developments Private Sector Development Activity, is set to begin August 1 in Burma’s capital, Naypyitaw.
