Nathan has corporate offices in Greater Washington, D.C., London, U.K. and Chennai, India. While many of our experts are based at a corporate office or traveling as needed, others assume long-term positions on projects in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Nathan recruits for both long term and short-term positions through our online Career Center. Open positions change often, so please check our listings frequently. In addition, we maintain a consultant registry to help our teams identify consultants for our many short and long term project assignments. We invite you to submit your qualifications by creating a profile to ensure you are included in our shortlisting process. Update your profile and resume regularly so we always have the information we need to match your capabilities with job opportunities. It is especially important that we have your current contact information and a current CV. You may also upload other useful documents such as biodata 1420 forms and reference letters. You can explore the latest openings, and create or update your profile. If you encounter any technical issues with the consultant registry, please contact
We seek consultants to work on projects for funding agencies, private sector groups, USAID, the World Bank, and other development banks. Clients publish requests for proposals with scopes of work and terms of reference (i.e., descriptions of position requirements). You should have the expertise—a combination of experience and education—required by the scope of work and the terms of reference. If you have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and have little experience in your field, becoming a consultant will be a challenge. Most clients require at least five years of experience relevant to the project.
The CV should describe your expertise and highlight important information—education, relevant experience, language proficiency, citizenship. The more specific the information, the better chance we have of making a match. It’s a good idea to provide details on training, postgraduate coursework, and certifications. Attach your CV to your consultant profile and be sure to update it as you gain experience.
All new entries to the consultant registry are reviewed and approved by our recruitment team. Once your CV is in the system, it will come to our attention if your skills, experience, education, and/or training match those required by the project or proposal. Be thorough in completing your profile so we can identify your qualifications and expertise.
We contact consultants (1) when we need more information and (2) when their qualifications match those required by a solicitation or project. Positions do not open up daily, but we contact potential consultants as positions open, so keep your contact information up to date—don’t forget to bookmark our website. Log in to the portion of the registry.
We find consultants through new submissions to our online system, development job fairs in the Greater Washington D.C. area, searching online resources, word of mouth, referrals by other consultants and colleagues—it’s a small world. We seek professionals with high standards in both the private and public sectors. We want to hear from you!
