Nathan is the external monitoring technical service provider of GROW, a five year market systems development programme financed by the Swedish Development Agency (Sida) in Liberia. This flagship programme focuses on contributing to sustainable peace and poverty reduction through inclusive and integrated economic development by catalysing systemic change in the markets relevant for smallholder farmers and related micro and small enterprises.

The programme works in four markets (cacao, rubber, palm oil and vegetables) to shape a new and inclusive growth pathways. As an external reviewer, Nathan provides technical support to Sida to ensure that programme implementation is aligned with Sida’s expectations and the targets of the programme.

More specifically, the Nathan team is responsible for reviewing project documentation, undertaking field visits to monitor progress, and providing detailed recommendations to support implementers in achieving the programme’s expected outcomes and impact.
