Alan P. Meister, Ph.D., a principal economist\r\nat Nathan Associates and a leader in the economics of Indian gaming, joined a panel at the American Bar Association's 20th Gaming Law Minefield conference. The conference addressed economic, legal, and regulatory issues confronting both commercial and Indian gaming. Dr. Meister's panel discussed the challenges facing Indian gaming. Dr. Meister also provided an update on the economic state of Indian gaming, including some results from the forthcoming edition of his annual study, the Indian Gaming Industry Report.
The full study is due out in early March. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Meister has conducted extensive research and analysis of the gaming industry, including Indian gaming, commercial casinos, racinos, card rooms, and online gaming.
