Alan P. Meister, Ph.D., a principal economist at Nathan Associates, presented this week at Native Nation Events? Ninth Annual Tribal Casino & Hotel Development Conference, giving an economic update on Indian gaming in the United States.

Gaming industry and hospitality professionals gathered at the conference, held April 11-12 in Alpine, California, to discuss issues surrounding the design and development of tribal casinos and hotels.

Dr. Meister's presentation included results from the recently released edition of his annual study, the Indian Gaming Industry Report. He examined Indian gaming's evolution and recent performance, and compared it to other casino gaming segments. He also discussed the outlook for Indian gaming, including potential challenges and opportunities.

Over the past 15 years, Dr. Meister has conducted extensive research and analysis of the gaming industry, including Indian gaming, commercial casinos, racinos, card rooms, and online gaming.
