Alan P. Meister, Ph.D., a principal economist at Nathan Associates, presented on the economic state of Indian gaming at the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) Spring 2016 conference in San Francisco. The conference brought together gaming law and regulation experts from around the world to discuss a diverse set of industry topics, including daily fantasy sports, eSports betting, mobile gaming, skill/hybrid games, commercial casinos, card rooms, and Indian gaming.

On the subject of Indian gaming, Dr. Meister joined Jonodev Chaudhuri, Chairman of the National Indian Gaming Commission, and Matthew Morgan, Director of Gaming Affairs at the Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce, on a panel to discuss the economic state of Indian gaming, factors affecting its growth, and the complex interplay of federal, state, and tribal governments and agencies. In Dr. Meister's presentation on the state of Indian gaming in the United States, he provided facts and figures from his latest research, the 14th edition of the Indian Gaming Industry Report

Over the past 15 years, Dr. Meister has conducted extensive research and analysis of the gaming industry, including Indian gaming, commercial casinos, racinos, card rooms, and online gaming. Dr. Meister is an Affiliated Member of IMGL.
