Alan Meister, Ph.D., a principal economist at Nathan Associates and a leader in the economic analysis of Indian gaming, will be presenting in Las Vegas at G2E 2017, the largest gaming trade show in the country. The annual event is hosted by the American Gaming Association (AGA).
The session, Tribal Gaming’s Economic Impact On The U.S. Economy, held on Thursday, October 5, 2017, will feature an in-depth conversation with Dr. Meister and NIGA Conference Chair Victor Rocha. Dr. Meister will share his soon-to-be-released, groundbreaking research conducted for the American Gaming Association (AGA) that quantifies the impact of tribal gaming on U.S. and state economies. This research will help provide the most comprehensive picture to date of the economic impact of the casino gaming industry and the ways tribal and commercial gaming collaboratively contribute to U.S. and state economies.
Over the past 17 years, Dr. Meister has conducted extensive research and analysis of the gaming industry, including Indian gaming, commercial casinos, card rooms, and iGaming. His scholarly and consulting work has been used in business planning and operations, public policy, regulatory, and litigation matters. Dr. Meister is frequently cited in the press, and his studies are a trusted resource for gaming operators and suppliers, governments, regulators, investors, the academic community, the media, and the public. His research and analyses have been relied on before the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Indian Gaming Commission, United States Supreme Court, and the World Trade Organization.
