The main objective of the study was to determine the liquid cargoes for import and export that could potentially be handled through Sociedad Portuaria Mardique SA (SPMD).

Nathan performed the analysis of the current state of oil cargo from various Colombian ports, mainly in the Atlantic Coast.

Initial data collection consisted of product types, production company, managed volume, origin of product, output port, main means of transport, etc., and extensive research was carried out on the port tariffs and transport costs.

Nathan’s experts analyzed the potential oil cargo at the port of Cartagena in the short term and identified potential new customers in the market. Lastly we assessed storage requirements and average productivity in the port for handling the potential new cargo.
