This webinar will feature how global companies can empower women by creating opportunities for them as entrepreneurs, suppliers, and distributors in the global economy.

Global companies are in a unique position to drive inclusive growth by supporting women’s entrepreneurship and integrating women into the value chain. As women-led businesses are given opportunities to scale and connect to markets, this creates broad-based economic growth in their communities. The webinar will explore a model by Coca-Cola that seeks to empower 5 million women by 2020 as well as a toolkit developed by Acumen and Unilever which provides a framework for corporations, investors, donors, and philanthropists to measure the impact of their investments in women and girls.

Many companies are increasingly viewing advancing gender equality as the right thing to do, and are putting significant resources behind their initiatives. This webinar will explore what works and what doesn’t in supporting women’s economic empowerment and access to markets. We will also explore the types of support that ecosystem players such as intermediary organizations and governments can provide.
