August 14, 2014?Usha Chaudhary, chief financial\r\nofficer and vice president at the Washington Post, and Wolfgang Tolle, a\r\nNorthern Virginia technology entrepreneur and international business executive,\r\nhave joined Nathan Associates Inc.?s board of directors.

Ms. Chaudhary and Mr. Tolle were\r\nelected in August by the firm?s shareholder-employees. The shareholder-employees also reelected six board members: Chairman John C. Beyer, Chief Executive Officer Lakhbir Singh, and\r\noutside directors Richard L. Burtner, founder of Entrepreneurial Business\r\nSolutions LLC; Katherine K. Clark, former CEO of Smartthinking; Valerie W. Perlowitz,\r\nmanaging director of International Holding Co. LLC; and Tessie San Martin, CEO\r\nof Plan International USA.

The new members possess unique blends of depth and experience, enhancing the board?s ability to help\r\nguide the firm. Ms. Chaudhary, a\r\nCertified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Managerial Accountant, has\r\nextensive senior executive experience with for-profit and nonprofit\r\norganizations. Mr. Tolle?s breadth of\r\nexperience includes forming new ventures and advising them as well as holding\r\ntop management positions in publicly traded companies.

\r\n\r\n

As chief financial officer of the Post, Ms. Chaudhary oversees accounting and finance functions as\r\nwell as real estate administration and security. Since joining the company in\r\n2008, she has led the execution of the company?s sale to Jeff Bezos, founder\r\nand chief executive officer of Amazon.com; development and execution of a\r\nbusiness strategy to achieve long-term profitability; headquarters sale and\r\nrelocation; and cost reductions of more than $200 million. Previously, Ms.\r\nChaudhary was chief financial officer of the United Way of America and spent almost\r\n20 years at the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac), finally serving as\r\nvice president of operations and treasury in the capital markets division.

Mr. Tolle has been president and chief\r\noperating officer of PostCreator, a new venture in the social media and\r\nbranding space, since April 2014. Immediately before that, he served as the eye-care\r\ncompany Alcon Inc.?s general manager for Belgium, the Netherlands, and\r\nLuxembourg. In that position, he guided the integration of Alcon Benelux into Novartis AG, the\r\nSwiss multinational that finished its $50 billion acquisition of Alcon in 2011.\r\nAs an entrepreneur, he helped drive Northern Virginia?s transformation into a\r\ncenter of information technology. His ventures included LaunchDreams LLC, a\r\nNorthern Virginia firm that wrote strategic plans, conducted due diligence, and\r\nadvised international companies on entering the U.S. market.

\r\n\r\n

The addition of Ms. Chaudhary and\r\nMr. Tolle fills one vacancy and expands the board size from seven to eight.
