For the Ministry of Textiles, Nathan India, along with the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), conducted a study to benchmark the Indian textile and apparel industry vis-à-vis its competitors in the post-Multi Fiber Agreement era. The team gathered information from field surveys and stakeholder interviews to develop a full value-chain sourcing model. The study helped in understanding the supply and demand side of the textile value chain, the product specific competitiveness of the major textile and clothing products exported from India, and the bottlenecks.
