Victoria Waite, an expert in economic development and international trade, manages complex projects involving multiple activities, stakeholders, and countries. Within the trade realm, she has special expertise in trade in services, trade policy, designing tailored trade capacity building trainings, trade facilitation and WTO accession.
Ms. Waite manages overall technical, financial and strategic oversight for USAID’s Leadership in Public Financial Management II (LPFM II) a far-ranging project to promote sound budget administration so governments throughout the world can spend effectively on education, health, other basic services, and infrastructure; improve tax policy and administration; and implement reforms that enable businesses and encourage trade. She is the LPFM II Trade Lead. Immediately before that she served almost 8 years as Chief of Party for US-APEC Technical Assistance to Advance Regional Integration, regularly applying her expertise in strategic planning, business enabling environment, regional economic integration, trade capacity building, and advocacy and policy coordination and dialogue.
Before joining Nathan in 2002, Ms. Waite managed business member advocacy programs on U.S. international trade policy for the U.S. Coalition of Service Industries and served as an analyst with the U.S. International Trade Commission.
