Suba Sivakumaran is the Head of Private Sector Development (Entrepreneurship and SME Growth) at the London office of Nathan. She has over 14 years’ experience in leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of private sector development programs.
Ms. Sivakumaran has designed and implemented large scale private sector programs in business linkages, business development services, and in challenge funds. She has led public-private partnerships, driven lead firm business engagement, and designed innovative, mobile-enabled real-time monitoring and evaluation programs for large businesses and MSMEs.
She has particular experience in agricultural value chains, access to finance, housing, and private sector development in fragile states. In her previous role as the Program Manager of the Business Call to Action at the UNDP, Ms. Sivakumaran led a large team from a multi-donor consortium which engaged with over 137 businesses, challenging them to design and implement core business activities to include the poor in their supply chains and distribution systems, and supported the design and implementation of private-sector development programs in fragile states such as Haiti.
Suba is the author of numerous publications on inclusive business and market analysis in emergencies.
