Stephen E. Sellick manages complex quantitative analysis and provides both counsel and expert testimony in litigation and public policy matters. He has more than 20 years experience in environmental and mass tort insurance claims, including cases involving asbestos, atrazine, gadolinium, lead, and silicone breast implants. His expertise also extends to litigation risk analysis in addition to cost, policy, and regulatory analysis.
Mr. Sellick works with clients in various industries, including aerospace, agricultural products, consumer manufacturing, electronics, electrical utilities, insurance, natural gas, and pharmaceuticals.
He has been directly involved in the cost estimation and / or insurance allocation of billions of dollars in asbestos, silica, and mixed dust and environmental settlements between numerous insurers and policyholders.
Among other engagements, he developed a model to estimate potential costs associated with the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund, and provided related analysis.
Mr. Sellick founded Gnarus Advisors LLC, a consulting firm that provides analytic and expert services to clients facing complex challenges arising from uncertainty, potential litigation, or disputes. Gnarus merged with Nathan in May 2017 and is now a Nathan company.
