Michael Obanubi is a Principal Consultant in the Nathan London office. Mr. Obanubi is an economist with over 17 years of expertise in the design, management and technical delivery of international development programmes in the areas of development finance, agricultural sector development and infrastructure investment.

His previous role involved the management of a FCDO funded evaluation of British International Investment (BII – formerly CDC) investments in the financial services portfolio. Mr. Obanubi brings experience of managing project budgets, multi-disciplinary teams and client relationships with investors ranging from grant making institutions such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Gatsby Foundation; impact investors such as AgDevCo; and development finance institutions such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Mr. Obanubi has a master’s degree in public policy from University College London and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Warwick in the UK. In addition, he recently completed a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification in Environmental Social and Governance Investment and previously completed postgraduate certificates in Public Private Partnerships and Investment Appraisal through distance learning courses provided through the University of London.
