Michael Blakeley designs, manages, and implements donor-funded projects that facilitate private sector competitiveness. A former international business executive with more than 20 years of experience in emerging markets, Mr. Blakeley is an expert in creating public-private partnerships, fostering entrepreneurship and developing sustainable solutions to business problems.

Mr. Blakeley has managed several large-scale consulting programs around the globe on behalf of donors and governments. In Southeast Asia Mr. Blakeley led an industry organization composed of global apparel brands, factories, and public sector officials from eight countries to develop new policies for the apparel sector. In Morocco, he led a program that helped three industry sectors achieve over $80 million in new exports. Mr. Blakeley has also directed major consulting projects in El Salvador, Nigeria, and Madagascar focused on private sector development.

Before joining Nathan in 2002, Mr. Blakeley was an entrepreneur and owned a company that traded agricultural commodities worldwide. Prior to starting his own company Mr. Blakeley served as a global sourcing executive for Fortune 500 agribusiness companies.
