On behalf of one of the world’s largest networking and communications manufacturers, Nathan India quantified the impact of information communications technology on economic development using data for 23 countries and spanning 19 years.

We estimated the potential effects of broadband on economies using historical macroeconomic data to model factors such as PC, broadband, and voice penetration. The percentage change in GDP for a 1% change in broadband penetration was estimated for the 21 countries that had sufficient data.

The study helped the company persuade government officials about the value of policies that encourage investment in ICT.
