To assist health insurance companies and stakeholders in the healthcare industry in understanding demand for health insurance in India, Nathan conducted a study that forecast future revenue in the health insurance industry. Nathan designed a customer survey questionnaire that helped the research team collect primary data on consumers preferences, the size of the market, and growth areas in the health insurance market. The team used survey and secondary data, developed advanced statistical models, and segmented the population according to the propensity to purchase health insurance in order to project demand until 2015. The study provided insights into consumer behaviour that help health industry firms understand the market, design responsive products, and identify marketing channels that cater to different sections of the population.
