Costa Rica, Lender's Independent Engineer for Construction of Passenger Terminal, 2010-2011

As the banks’ independent engineer, Nathan Associates oversaw the construction of a US$42 million new passenger terminal at the Daniel Octuber Quiros International Airport in Liberia City. We provided construction monitoring services; approved monthly disbursements in accordance with the loan agreement; and issued the final independent engineering certificate confirming that the terminal was built in a safe and prudent manner, met good industry engineering practices, and complied with the concession contract. The privatized passenger terminal was inaugurated in December 2011. This project followed on the heels of our work as the banks’ due diligence adviser.
