Research Analysts in the Litigation Group at Nathan Associates work closely with prominent economists and leading law firms to prepare expert testimony for consumer fraud and antitrust class action litigation. Analysts pay close attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, think analytically and critically, and have a strong desire to learn. They assist senior staff members in conducting economic and statistical research and analysis; collecting and synthesizing economic, statistical, and financial data; creating and managing complex databases and spreadsheets; and reviewing and preparing documents.
Candidates should have a strong academic record and a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field and preferably have taken courses in statistics, econometrics, and applied microeconomics. After gaining sufficient experience, Research Analysts may be promoted to the position of Senior Research Analyst. Senior Research Analysts contribute substantively to the development of methodologies and expert opinions, in addition to supervising Research Analysts. Following their tenure at Nathan Associates, Research Analysts and Senior Research Analysts often pursue graduate degrees at top universities.
